2015-2020

As Principal Director Education, and Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Education), I pioneered redefining, refining and reorienting the role of Education Branch in IAF through extensive research on best global practices and multiple rounds of deliberations with apex leadership , sister services, the committee of experts and Defence Ministry. Through collaborations with ministries, premier academic and professional universities, Education Branch now acts as force multiplier to meet three critical HR requirements of any organization; three Rs- Recruitment, Retention through professional growth and Resettlement through collaboration with industry and governments. Recognition of Air Force qualification and award of Assessing Body status to Air Force Examination Board towards grant of Skill Qualification by Ministry of Skill Development, heralds an epoch on the continued role of retired defence personnel in nation building.

2011-2015

Being Principal of the most prestigious Sainik School, Kunjpura, Haryana, spread over 300 acres, with distinction of contributing maximum number of officers to Armed Forces, was a unique opportunity and tremendous responsibility. The School bagged Raksha Mantri Trophy for sending maximum number of cadets to National Defence Academy in an academic year after a gap of 15 years. The School regained its premier position through excellence in academics, sports, adventure sports and quality of infrastructure. Got appreciation letters from Chief Minister, Haryana & Union Minister of Human Resource Development ( now Education ) for leading the way.

2011-2011

Getting posted as Chief Instructor at Alma Matar, Air Force Academy was a huge privilege and a tremendous responsibility. Revised the training pattern and syllabus for the officer trainees with value added capsules on soft skills, leadership skills, and practical training for their respective branches. Above initiatives drew huge applause from officer trainees and heartening feedback from Field & Higher Formations.

2009-2010

As Command Education Officer of Maintenance Command with installations spread across the country, steered educational initiatives and educational services to air force personnel and their wards. Pioneered Leadership & Management Training for middle rung managers, thereby enriching their job profile, enhancing their contribution , thereby the organizational effectiveness.

2006-2009

As Commanding Officer of a sensitive unit, through effective collaboration with all central & state security agencies, ensured security of information, personnel and air force installations spread over six states. The role entailed leading from the front and display of highest degree of foresight, collaboration, and timely action to thwart adversary efforts to undermine our strategic and operational capability.

2002-2006

As Director Human Resource Management, at Air Force Record Office, steered placement of air warriors to optimise operational efficacy of the organization and career profiles of all combatants & non-combatants. Instituted a transparent system of placement , thereby enhancing performance and improving morale of personnel. Rehabilitation of Tsunami victims and induction of new contingent of personnel Andaman & Nicobar Islands in a record time of 48 hrs was appreciated as unparalleled HR Operation.

1999-2002

Vice Principal & Office Commanding Sainik School, Sujanpur Tira ( Himachal Pradesh ). Motivated & groomed cadets for a career in the officer cadre of armed forces. The School witnessed best ever performance in all spheres of academics, sports, co-curricular domain and entry into National Defence Academy.

1995-1999

Staff Officer cum Aide-De-Camp to Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of operational Commands. Single Point of Contact to coordinate and advise on all operational, maintenance and administrative activities within the geographical area of jurisdiction, spread over eight states.

1993-1995

Deputy Director at Air Headquarters with a responsibility to collaborate, synthesize and disseminate intelligence to field formations. Actively contributed in formulation of security policies in collaboration with national intelligence and security agencies.

1991-1993

Specialised in Military Intelligence & Security of Strategic Military Assets of India. Youngest officer to impart security & intelligence training to the airmen, officers from all three services; Army, Navy , Air Force, Central Armed Police Forces and military officers from Friendly Foreign Counties.

1988-1990

Transformed raw recruits from civil background into professional airmen, equipping them with excellent communication skills in English, military craft, air power and specialised training for Communication Trades of IAF.

1986-1988

Transformed raw recruits from civil background into professional airmen, equipping them with excellent communication skills in English, military craft, air power and specialised training for Administrative Trades of IAF

1985-1986

Flight Cadet ( Officer Trainee ) at Air Force Academy, Secunderabad – Transformation from a University Student to an Air Warrior. Focus areas of training included Military Craft, Educational Psychology, Pedagogy & Teaching Practice, Management, Air Power, Leadership & War Studies. Got commissioned in Education Branch of IAF in the rank of Pilot Officer. Outstanding performance during training, achieved second position in overall order of merit.
